The Young Lawyers’ Forum (YLF) of the NBA Ikeja Branch, held its annual seminar on Thursday 13th November, 2014 at the Ikeja Bar Centre. This year’s event which was based on the theme “Surmounting Professional Challenges for Young Lawyers in Legal Practice: the Way Forward” witnessed a huge turnout of young lawyers and many legal heavy weights.
The roll call of guests were the Hon. Justice Safari who represented the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Hon. Justice I. N. Buba of the Federal High Court Lagos, The DG of the Nigerian Institute for Advanced Legal Studies Prof. Lanre Fagbohun, Mr. Nourison Quakers SAN, Mrs. Funmi Falana and a hosts of others.Continue reading
Applications for the 2015 International Law Fellowship Programme are currently being accepted. The deadline for applications is 1 December 2014
To qualify for the Fellowship Programme, candidates should be between 24 and 45 years of age at the beginning of the Fellowship Programme. They must have a legal background with professional experience in the field of international law. The selected participants are required to submit a medical certificate of good health and to certify that they are able to attend the entire course period.
The 2015 Fellowship Programme will be conducted in English. Fluency in spoken and written English is required.

The NBA Ikeja Branch Young Lawyers’ Forum (YLF) will hold its annual seminar on Thursday 13th November, 2014 at the Bar Centre , Ikeja at 9: 00 am. The 3rd since it’s debut this year’s YLF seminar’s theme is “Surmounting Professional Challenges for Young Lawyers in Legal Practice: the Way Forward”, and is open to young lawyers of 1-7 years at the bar.
Lined up for the event are many lecture sessions by reputable legal practitioners drawn from the academia, Bench and the inner Bar ( see flyer above for more information).
Admission is free and there would be free medical tests for all participants as well as a cocktail after the event. So where would you rather be on 13th November, 2014?
